This beetle is found in the Amazon rainforest is trying to mimic the droppings of a caterpillar. The beetle does this to avoid being eaten by birds. A caterpillar with fuchsia purple droppings! Wow!
The leaf beetle, Chlamisus or Fulcidax Chrysomelidae / Cryptocephalinae, is about 6 mm in length.
