Amazing Students’ Biomimicry Designs to Deal with Extreme Heat

A couple of months ago, I posted a blog post about using Snails as inspiration for ideas. Look and marvell at this team of high school students in Pakistan using inpiration from the shell of the desert snail’s and the Saharan silver ant. These animals have unique biological strategies that help them survive in hot climates. The students used some aspects of the animals’ features as inspiration for buildings that can provide shelter from extreme heat. The model was tested using architectural software.

Love how these students take action against changes in climate. Congratulations and let’s hope they can inspire you to use biomimicry in your homeschool or classroom.
