Kick off the New Year by getting outside. Weather permitting there is amazing wildlife that you can explore.
The 5th of January is National Bird Day. A special day dedicated to celebrations of birds.
In the UK, there is also the Big Garden Birdwatch – between 26 and 28 January you can record the birds that visit your patch. A great opportunity to study and learn more about the birds in your local area.

Dinosaurs evolved into birds. So a project about dinosaurs is also perfect in the winter classroom. The 30th of January is How to Draw a Dinosaur Day.
